This Is Vanity - a short film by Oliver Goodrum
Street Faces by Aurélien Fontanet
When you laugh, the world laughs with you. Often times literally with creepy faces that appear to be built in to the surrounding sidewalks, walls, and devices. Quietly they watch, judging… contemplating some secret fate that is yet to befall you and fostering a perverse pleasure in not being able to warn you (they are inanimate objects after all, they can’t talk, you know. You’re probably just imagining things anyways).

I just took one of these pics the other day of a door screen spring holder. He’s content just doing his job:

I take really bad concert photos for a reason. The challenge to myself is to only take one at any show. “Pictured”: Crystal Castles - superb.
“The nine photographs of the TV project Self Burial by Keith Arnatt were transmitted daily beginning 11th of October ending 18th of October 69. Each photograph was shown 2 seconds at 8.15 and 9.15pm without any introduction or commentary. The stills of Keith Arnatt were cut into the running daily TV program.” —from the colophon of back of this book. This project was aired on WDR Fernsehen - a regional West German TV channel.
somebody should probably make a GIF of this. -ds
