One Million Moms to JC Penney: fire Ellen, she's gay »

DeGeneres’ daytime talk show has more viewers than the American Family Association has moms.

Between January 16 and January 22, “Ellen” averaged 3.38 million viewers — or 2.38 million more people than the AFA has moms.

The “American Family Association” is a misnomer… it doesn’t represent the American family any more than the Olive Garden represents Italian cuisine. Damn I’m snarky this week… I’ll try to stay positive next week. It’s just that our society is in this schizophrenic cultural battle rooted in a vision of Biblical puritanism (the American Taliban) versus the more progressive secular Jeffersonian vision (the future that becomes Star Trek NG) … and the cultural crusaders perpetually piss me off.
