Over the last 3 months, Apple made 13 billion $ in profits. As the article points out, Apple has the leverage and power to demand changes in factory conditions. Should it choose not to, it is most likely that no one else will. As of yet, it seems they’d rather wage PR campaigns than actually change the way they do business.

Strange how Apple has been perceived as such a clean and green and keen company when their record on charity and worker’s rights is dismal. Meanwhile, the Bill Gates foundation has nearly eradicated polio in India and saved millions from malaria in Africa.
